My, a beautiful photo of Birmingham... My visit there had left me with the impression that this was impossible!
Ian James  Thanks Alexandre, I do find it a frustrating place to live as a keen photographer hence I have lots of photos of the Selfridges building. In architecture terms there is not much else of interest. I want to get out and take pictures of people after failing on the architecture front.

Nice to see what a 71 year old camera can still do. Makes you wonder how digital will do in 71 years! I've also been looking at some folders as an affordable way to get into medium format. I really like this image.

Ian James  Sure is Phillip it would be interesting to see what we could do with a digital camera from today in 71 years. I am sure thinks will have changed a whole lot. I really love the results I have got and I will definitely be shooting some more with this camera. You should have a go you can get some great old cameras on EBAY for not a lot its very rewarding too. All I need now is a better scanner to really exploit 120 films potential.
Philip Greene  There's a camera called a Franka that looks interesting to me. They are less expensive than the Zeiss Ikon folders.

A scanner I have been looking at is the Epson V 750M. It seems like it would be pretty good for scanning negatives but if you read too many reviews you might have to spend a small fortune for the perfect scanner:)

Any way I look forward to seeing more shots with that camera you are using. How about 120 slides?

Ian James  Thank you Monique. The image was captured from an adjacent car park. I really liked the aspect of looking down on the road with the bottom edge of the building.

Quite a camera you've used here! Stunning shot, excellent mood, looks almost surreal!
Ian James  Cheers Alex,

Check out the camera at the following link. It really is Billy basic... :)

It was given to me recently by my wife's grandfather he used it back in the war and I thought it was only right to put it back in service. I am using it with a classic Weston Master light meter which is just as retro cool.
