Background is the dark shaded forest, the two birds in heavy backlight from the sun.
Some work in ps to get more detail and light at the body of the two birds (because of the backlight). Otherwise unedited. Does it look "flat"/out of contrast?

This is gorgeous. I love the gradient in the left corner, it brings out something special - instead of just having the ordinary black.

I'm not sure if I like the spots of it on the top though. If I am allowed to say that?

Calle Quick aah.. thank you Christine for your comment. You are right about the spots on the top. My aim was not to edit the background and make it all black but i do agree that the spots are annoying. Im glad you commented on the gradient left corner, i belive it makes the background more alive. thanks

Christine Fagerbakke You're very welcome. I am glad that there are people like you out there - because I am sick of the black backgrounds. I do some under water photography, and there it black macro, or a disorderly background. So when I see pictures like this, with the small gradient on the side (plus it's a beautiful picture), it makes me happy.
