Succes verder. gr Femke

Superb shot, i love the expression on her face. But why French ?
Kris Van de Vijver  Hi guys, first of all, I'd like to say that I've uploaded 10 of my best photos last week and only two were accepted, including this one. I'm not complaining here, I'm glad two of them made it, but I was really surprised because the other 8 got excellent critique in other places and they are among my best from a big collection of many years. :)

Anyway, I have no idea whether it's possible for members to see rejected pictures? I guess not.

About the door: personally, I feel it gives a bit of a mysterious feel to it. Instead of a neutral background with a total focus on the model, I was thinking the door and light behind the door might add to the picture.

About the title: I was in France with my girlfriend and she adores the country and the French culture. She was also totally in love with the bed&breakfast where we were staying. And, on top of that, she was taking French classes in the morning. So, in this picture we were trying to capture a bit of her love for the South of France.

Thanks for commenting everyone.

Like it a lot. Her face tells a great story.

I like her expression very much. The whole scene makes it for me even with the bit distracting light on the door. It makes it more authentic.

I do like it - i don't know why, cause the door in the background is distracting! But it doesn't matter! It must be this fantastic expression on her face - I don't know how to describe it (so remote, and yet so close?). That's what I like about it!

Lars :-)
