Near my house there are train tracks that need to be crossed to get to the subway station. There are concrete sleepers used and everyone always ends up tip toeing over the sleepers like some kind of tight rope act - balancing uneasily and trying not to bump each other of there 5 inch high parapets.

I on the other hand chose to walk in the gaps between the sleepers as they are broad and wide and open and easy to use. I do this sub consciously as I am sure the others to with the sleepers. I am not sure what it is in the brains of people - as we all probably naturally seek paths to follow - but I have only ever seen one or two other people cross like I do - as it seems to be the logical way to do it. Yet everyone else.... the circus continues.

Marcello Della Corte Interesting! It is indeed amazing how different people react differently to the environment. I am pretty sure someone would give some sort of evolutionary explanation to this! ;)
