Deborah Fort The book was by Christopher Moore called "A Dirty Job" - though it deals with death, it's very very funny. But he isn't the first to use those characters - I suspect they've been around for some time.

Did you add some kind of rain effect? It looks real enough and the hound looks suitably damp ;-) but it looks like the drops are all the same distance away if that makes sense. Don't get me wrong, it works well. I really like this one. The dog's expression is brilliant.
My friend Pete tells me that Melbourne has really crap weather. I thought Australia was hot and sunny, like Neighbours . . .heh heh. . .

MaxHamish Hi JBA, thanks for your comment. So you know, I have uploaded another version of this image. Being a 'Creative Edit' I did add rain (and the birds but the rest is a photo) to enhance the mood. I agree that the first version looked a little odd (and unfinished) but it was the wrong file I uploaded (feel stupid about it now), so good obeservation on your part. I do hope this newer version is more pleasing for you. I can say that the weather in Melbourne is fabulous, much better than my native London ;-) All the very best, Darren
