wonderful shot, so full of emotion. The little details do it for me - the eyes are gorgeous, the little snowflakes in the hair and falling out of focus, the way the top lip just overlaps the polaroid. brilliant.

All I can say is absolutely amazing. The model is beautiful and is able to convey such emotion though just her eyes alone. One of the things that makes this shot so great is how her face is just out of focus, just out of touch. I also have a special place in my heart for anything with snow, but that's just me.

Her face could have been in more focus (just in my opinion), but then again it adds quite a dreamy/nostalgic mood so in the end it doesn't really matter if it is or not, either way this is gorgeous!

I really like this!

alabama yeah, you're definitely right. that 50mm lens is the only thing that saved it i think... it softened enough areas that it ends up acceptable (to some), but yep, especially the eye could be sharper.

of course for me, it's the feeling an image brings more than the technical, and i was pleasantly surprised when so many here appreciated it in spite of it's obvious flaws. this site has so many talented artists and with phenomenal editing skills so it's hard to excuse imperfections when there's perfection all around.

i'm glad so many made an exception for me and this image. thanks christopher. thanks 1xers!

Nice idea.

alabama thank you timor. i love images that have other images in the frame. she picked from my polaroids, and we went out into the snow, but the movement was an instinctive one for her. she made the shot special with her natural inclinations.
