The sharpness of the branches and rope balance nicely with the soft feel of this photo. The water and beach occupy a narrow strip of the frame, with a "foggy" sky pressing from above; it feels they're snuggled under a warm blanket. I like how the tip of the boat just touches the horizon, but doesn't poke over. The shadow, to the left of of the boat, looks like ink bleeding on textured paper. I'm glad the sand doesn't look grainy.

A very relaxing picture. One's gaze strolls around the frame, lingering on each lovely detail.

I usually hate branches that creep up in the frame without the rest of the tree, but in this case, I think it works extremely well and enhances both mood and composition. Very well done!
