Wow. What a powerful and tragic image, and yet one that not only brings home an important issue, but does so with respect and dignity. Well done. This is of the quality of the old Life magazine.

I´m looking for this photo at 5 minutes, and have no words to write a small coment, Helmut ! Very very strong, you see photography same way i see it. This is very very impressive, and dramatic too, it´s a children ... I thin this is one of most impressive photo i see in my life. But the big contrast of such brutality, is i see love inside it. Congratulations Helmut for this great photography !

Hello Helmut!
Why not show more? Do we live in a world of beauty and glamor? We all here on this very same world. I have seen many worse things during my last 16 years travel around the world. May some people feel not well to see such a photo and the should feel not well so it shows one time more the cruel things done by humans! Such a things i see every day when i go to work. And every day i shocked for these things!
Very moving picture!

Very powerful and sad!
I really have no words for this.
Helmut Schadt  Daria, my dear friend, thanks for your comment.
I understand you and somehow me sorry for showing such kind of photographs.
But I feel that we photographers should show the different aspects of life and what mankind is able to do. In good and bad terms.
I will try to keep the upload of my pictures corresponding to the percentage of the good and bad aspects of human life.
Fortunately the good and even funny aspects imho prevail.
So please no need to be afraid that from Helmut will come from now on only "shockers" because this one was accepted!;-)

Good night, sweet dreams to you,
Helmut
Daria Endresen  Helmut, I'm sorry for late reply but I didn't want to leave it unanswered.
I think it's very important to capture and to show the dark side of our life too - maybe then we will be able to learn on our mistakes and not do the same evil again. It's very sad, yes, but life is not all glamor and roses, unfortunately :(
I can appreciate this side of your photography as well, and I thank you for sharing it.

Strong shot. How did you know it was due to agent orange? I mean did it come up in conversation or is this common? Please excuse my ignorance on this topic. :-s

Helmut Schadt  I wanted reply to Daria but clicked wrong. Sorry Robert, it's already late in the night, I better should go sleep;-)
Helmut Schadt  The reminders of the Vietnam war are also still apparent after more than 35 years since the end. May these be cripples or victims of napalm or agent orange. You just have to google "agent orange" and you will find cruelling information like this:
