Would you cut it out!?!? You are going to make me hike back up to the rivers again to try to learn how to do this! Another stunner. Thanks for all the inspiration your images give me.
Ursula I Abresch  Hehe, cut it out, eh? You know, I don't go far to make this. The trick is to find a place with potential close by, and then go there over and over and over. Thank you for your words :)

the most beautiful i have seen from you, Ursula.
:)Whatever may come
And whatever may go-
That river's flowing

Ursula I Abresch  Yeah, that river is a constant in my life. Rivers are that way. Thank you so much, Barbara!

As seen in so many images from you, a great mix of good composition, interesting textures and unexpected colors. Love the copper tones in this one!
Ursula I Abresch  Thank you, Thomas. I'm going to have to write this down, as a "recipe" for making pictures, I like the recipe. :)
Thomas Ljungberg  LOL, I never thought anyone would tale notes on my mumbling about photography... ;-) I guess that is a complement in itself. I like recipes as well, the hard thing is to make it taste good over and over again...

The only way I've ever fished is with my bare hands as a young boy in a far away place. In order to catch one trout in a good afternoon, one had to be about as close and, likely, assume the same position you did here to see what there was, how it came and went and managed its ways.

And I learnt then a little about timing, that is when one is still in the wave, and the "decisive moment" assembles such eternity, it is sweeter than supper or a warm bed.

Ursula I Abresch  Although I haven't caught any trout, studying the river up close is very satisfying nevertheless. Thank you :)

Amazingly beautiful!
Feel the power of the water and can almost touch it's silkiness.
Ursula I Abresch  Thank you, Marie-Louise!

This is just so beautiful,,,,,,,,,,,,! :-)

You can nearly feel the texture in the water ( I don't know if that makes sense in english, but I hope you know, what I mean?!)

So alive and 3-dimensional

Lars :-)
Ursula I Abresch  Thank you, Lars! I like the idea of talking about water as texture. It is a much more solid and "textural" thing, water, than what it seems at first glance.

Bravo! Very artistic! Especially the brownish colors...
Ursula I Abresch  Thank you, Zsolt. I was a bit surprised by how much brown there was in the image, I wasn't expecting it. I was going for silver and blue, not brownish and green. Strange how what you capture sometimes is not what you had in mind to begin with.

I was almost certain it was yours when I saw the image in screening.
Fantastic exposure!
It looks like a flow of precious metal... :)
Ursula I Abresch  I am becoming predictable, eh? Thank you for your words. I was thinking of flowing metal that afternoon, but silver, because it was a bright but very cloudy afternoon last week, and the water looked like flowing silver.
Tim Corbeel  Not predictable (sounds so negative). ;)
You have a style which I like a lot.
There just aren't that many photographers who are capable of capturing a river/stream in such a 'poetic' way. :)
Ursula I Abresch  Thank you again, Tim, I appreciate your words very much!
