Did you shoot it with a timer or did you just allow the camera to keep shooting?

I usually shoot with the camera timer - 10 seconds to stand in a nice way, the biggest problem of course is that I don't see what I'm actually shooting :) But 80-100 efforts eventually give the needed result.

I trust that your feelings are real and you do create imagery that I can feel.
I think this piece shows a real mastery of your process. I love the contrasting warm/cool tones of the skin. I wish this was a painting:)
I don't like to read the poems with your work because it is to leading- hope that makes sense to you. I need to fiqure it out on my own because it makes the meaning more open-ended and that is the point of any great piece. Best!

Our photographic areas are quite different so to speak, and you know that I really like your works - that's why it's a double pleasure for me to know that you can appreciate what I do. Thanks a lot!

Andre du Plessis That is so nice of you.....! I have to say, whenever you submit, it is something that gives the impression that so much planning has gone into it. You seem to have perfected your direction into an individual art form that is not just sophisticated and eclectic, however, gives pleasure to members across the board. And that is a talent. I think that this one have become my favourite of your work, for there is less of a chilling surprise over here, but instead exquisitively created harmony in movement, with the light bulb taking centre stage. Allowing the viewer to interpret the prose in their own fashion, but nevertheless realising that this is an interplay between need and fear. I have never enjoyed a creative edit as much as this photograph before.

Daria Endresen Andre, I really don't have enough words - wonderful deep comment, thank you so much for taking time and writing it. The last sentence is definitely my greatest joy and award :)

You're right about the planning, it sometimes takes me weeks to form the idea in my mind, sketch it on paper, actually shoot it and then finally edit it. But all the effort is certainly worth it, if someone takes pleasure looking at the result. Seems like I managed it this time :) Thanks again.

Once again a piece of art that really communicates. My personal interpretation is that the butterflies are drawn to the light, embraces it, but the girl (you) tries to shelter her self from it. I feel i want to shout, open up to your inner light! That is far brighter that any artificial light man can make, you just have to dare to embrace it..

I got a peculiar comment about the butterflies on the other photo site - the guy said that actually butterflies are trying to find the darkest place but their brain (or whatever it is there instead of it) "thinks" that the darkest place is actually the one that has most of light. Don't know if it's scientifically true, but I thought it was kind of interesting :)
