Hi John. I' commented on this before but i instantly recognised it (and several others from this site), When I saw it on BBC TV news this morning. I hope to get to the southbank to see the real thing. Congratulations once again, the honour is well deserved.

John, please correct me if I am wrong but isn't this the
Adult Classic View Winner AND the Judges Choice [by Charlie Waite]
in the UK 2009 Landscape Photographer of the Year competition ??

I just came across this shot. Love it. Quite bizarrely by coincidence, I've just posted a shot for critique of the same mountain from a very different angle in different conditions and very different style. I'd be interested in your views! ps. I'm a northerner too!

John Parminter Thanks Maurizio, it is and if you get the chance I would recommend a visit if you are keen on mountains, the Rannoch and Glen Coe area is a mecca for walkers, climbers and photogs.

John Parminter I actually work in Scotland through the week and commute 300 miles each weekend but I work in Aberdeen on the East coast which in truth is the wrong side for the mountains..:-(
