I wish I didn't know she was a bartender. It spoils my appreciation of the image, because i'm wondering if she is chopping lemons or mixing shots. For me it's completely irrelevant because nothing in the image is related to bartending. As a subtle portrait it's superb, and we should just let our imaginations run with that. The interesting thing for me is that the focus is concentrated so nicely on the eyelashes, and that these echo and play with the other lines of hair and eyebrow. The simple compositional planes focus the interest, although I would prefer less of the right hand side. The portrait composition hinges on the downcast gaze, and that's where our imagination comes in

Very delicate mood here and lovely natural feeling! The background is very well blurred, I could never have told she is a bartender without reading the description. A favourite!
