Rue des Rosiers
This is the steet of flowers, in the Marais district of Paris, and which today symbolises the Jewish community in this city. When they where expelled from Paris over 600 years ago, this is where they settled, which was at that time outside the boundary of Paris.
The area has become very diverse now, through immigration from North Africa and Eastern Europe.
Some sections of Marais are very pleasant to stroll through, with trendy shops and cutting edge designs peering out of these medieval looking shopfronts.
I needed to get this lady with her buggy in front of one of the pillars to avoid her losing impact against the backdrop, and was lucky on my second attempt, as I waited for her to walk back from the grocery store.

Oh this was one of my favorites in screening.

It´s so nice that one is getting the feeling, that the two dummies are staring at here... :)

Nice light like always, Andre!
Andre du Plessis  Anja!! Thanks for visiting again. I loved my visit to Paris - somehow was totally motivated to get some images during my break from the trade show. However, Paris is just one of those places which makes this easy. I always photograph in shade, much like you. Luckily I was blessed with rather somber skies throughout. Regards, Andre

Andre du Plessis  Many thanks Codrin. I have to admit - this site's screening process is a newbie to me, however, I guess that why the apple tastes more sweet. Best wishes, Andre

Very nice picture. It seems if the two dummnies are looking the old woman who is passing by. With a lot of atmosphere.
Andre du Plessis  Yes Femke. I was lucky, as the emotion in this shop window bounces akwardly with the main subject. My luck that it was not a hardware store:-) Thanks, Andre
