excellent foto. one technical question: how do you measure the exposure in such a condition? spot (on what?), center or matrix? i ask because i like very much the intensity of light both on the window and on the floor...

Regarding your question:
My goal was not to burn the window and save details on the walls.
I took a few shots with different metering methods but the best one was with matrix metering. In post processing (Capture NX2) I applied +0.85 EV of exposure compensation and 9 color control points to recover details on the walls using (B) slider. I did also some other corrections such as levels, crop, strighten and B/W conversion of course :)
