I see this. I read the comment on the other photograph before. I look back at the later photograph and I realize. We are fools to believe that ageing is a curse. It's a privilege, not granted to all of us and for which many men have to fight a daily struggle. You commitment to capture testimonies of life is such a strong statement of this. Kudos.

Andre du Plessis I reply a bit late Charlie:), but I revisited this image tonight, and your sentiments ring true. Although - it is only human to feel that as less threatening when one refers to someone else. I am sure that the objectivity and value of your sentiment is lost when one's own reflection in the mirror shows the tell-tale signs of aging, and the mind kicks in. I believe that true objectivity towards one's own aging is a special talent and gift, and probably a reflection and the result of an intelligent mind that have lived a rich life. Not in monetary terms, but in giving and receiving. Somehow this resonates in the way that I perceived Thomas to be. At least, for me he had an inner strength and determination, and yes, caring attitude as well. In spite of his trying circumstances. So maybe he has the gift? I certainly hope so. I have just arrived from Dieppe after the night crossing by ferry from the UK, and there can be no nicer start to my day that reading your passionate comment while I am enjoying my strong coffee here in Le Mesnil Sterling. Thank you. This upload of Thomas & Friend was an early attempt on PS for me, and down the line I shall rework it to do away with the brighter hues in an attempt to enhance the mood. Should have actually done that but was in such a hurry to get my 1st upload on 1X. Have a spiffy day down there and sorry about the recent cricket results. Best wishes, Andre
PS. Hopefully I can get a pic past screening when I meet up with Thomas in Paris - if I can find him.

Mam's best friend. I absolutely love my dog and I can connect with this scene so well. I'll go anywhere and do anything for him. I am so happy that this man has found his best friend too and that they are together. I could happily live on the streets as long as I have my friend with me and I could care for him.

What's that honey...? Crap - the wife heard me write this as I though out aloud!
