We were inspired by some images of rusty equipment and thought they made a nice background. Since we specialize in images relating to alternative energy and the environment, so we were trying to illustrate some of the relationship between humans and the earth. Our studio has this great concrete wall which we thought was terribly ugly until we photographed something in front of it...it's all patchy and really makes a nice defocused background.
