Oh my...I could pay you if you told me how you managed to make the camera interpret the reality this way (well, I'm not rich...hug then? :-) ) Very, very, very beautiful!

Cokin P or not - I still love this!
John Parminter  So do I Andre but other images with the P were a nightmare to get right colourwise.

I think a few people may wonder why the large cloud is tinged red, I can assure you it came out of the camera like this and I think its down to either the reflected light off the wet bracken or my use of Cokin filters which sometimes give a red cast, or a combination of both.
Cheers,
John

Congratulations John. Although I feel it is just a tad over-saturated for my taste you have made a wonderful capture of the dawn light in Cumbria. I wonder what non-Brits think when they see these gates and styles with no fence on either side, an oft seen sight in our wilder countryside.
John Parminter  Cheers Vic, I'll be interested in the response to this as well especially the composition, it is quite a bold foreground! I'm also quite surprised re the comments in screening as well about saturation and editing as I have done absolutely minimum levels tweaks post processing on it but did use a polariser which I believe enhanced the damp foliage colours.
Having looked around the 1X site a bit now I can see that this isn't a typical landscape shot as there are a lot of mono and subduedly coloured images which is a style I'm keen to try myself as well.

I'm glad this one got published though as my house is just out of shot and it's the view I see every day.
Cheers,
john
