Well it's quite a nice photo, but I would hope you got some more exciting ones from such an exotic location. It seems, despite the blue sky, that the sun is highlighting the water and the strip of land in the middle distance. This would be nice if it was more obvious. I guess one idea behind the photo is to emphasise the distance and size of the crater. This is done with the disappearing perspective of the herd as they get smaller and smaller, and the very distant tiny trees, but it's not a strong enough effect for me.
Velu  Thanks a lot for your insightful comment, Richard. Oh how I wish I had more exciting shots from our memorable trip to Tanzania. We were there in 2003 & at that time all I had a Nikon Coolpix point & shoot .. and didn't know much about photography. I really got into photography & started understanding the concepts only after August of 2005.
I guess we just have to go back to all those exotic location again to get those precious shots :)
Richard Tugwell  thanks for the info - sorry if i sounded a bit harsh
Velu  Oh no .. not at all. I sincerely appreciate all types of feedback on my images. It helps me develop as a better photographer. Cheers!

Nice view and I like shots with animals in them, we don't have too many of those. Are these wild animals? There is something strange about the quality either it's because of oversharpening, noise reduction or it's not the highest jpeg quality I'm not quite sure. Or it's just the quality of the camera.
Velu  Thanks for the comment, Ralf. These are Wildebeest grazing in the Ngorongoro crater in Tanzania.
