It's a sad sign of our times that this type of motif is more and more widely seen. Poverty is nothing new, but we see it much more now sitting alongside comfortable, extravagant lifestyles. Because of this, and although this is nicely judged composition, I think you have to do a bit more with this sort of image. If you choose this type of subject, thzen you owe it to the people to try and be as thoughtful and imaginative as possible. There are so many more strong contrasts and ambiguous messages available, that the current one with it's simplistic message seems bland, and doesn't do justice to the topic, or the model
