I am startled that anyone would criticize you for adding your copyright notice. Anyone who posts their art--but especially someone working with nudes--is at high risk for having their pieces stolen or mis-used. Also, I don't think this photo is "contrived," I think it is magical. That you were meticulous about the pose makes the photo more perfect, not less so. The contrast of the rough brick versus the human skin gives the model context in the way a bland background would not. Kudos! Thank you for posting it.
Zoe Wiseman  Lisa - many thanks. Yes... I think there is a rule here about putting on text in an image, but I can't post my images without it after having my images used maliciously in the past. One guy even started a website where he posted my work on his site putting his copyright notice on them. He just rotated the images in PS and then put them on his website asking models to come and pose for him. It cost him $5,000.00 in damages, but cost me literally MONTHS with attorneys to get it down. Thank you for understanding this!

Zoe Wiseman  Thank you Fulvio! Nice to see you again.
Cheers to you.
Another of your beautiful works of art! So glad to see more of your work here.
Is it Polaroid really dead? I am aware that they have discontinued some of their products but not all of them. On their websites they still promote their products and I, for one, would love to have a go at polaroid image transfer. Should I just forget it, even before trying?
Zoe Wiseman  hi marcello - long time... i know. over to your page in a second. :)
polaroid is totally dead. over. done. sad. the entire company has stopped making film. they are making electronics now for some unknown reason as this certainly isn't what they are known for. there was talk that they were going to allow another company to purchase the patent or at least continue some of the larger format color films, but i haven't paid attention because i only shoot with pos/neg. maybe i can find out and let you know. you can still get Fuji Instant film packs and do transfers. The Fuji Instant film is quite vibrant and fun to work with. They are color films and pretty cool for transfers.
Marcello Della Corte  I must have a go with Fuji, then! How sad to see Polaroid stop making film. It is a piece of history of photography that goes!

I noticed comments on this image in screening and one was:
"Have to admit I don't see the point of the heavy editing here. What's the story?"

To reply to this - There is ZERO editing on this image. ZERO!! What you see is on the negative. If you have never worked with Polaroid Positive Negative film, I feel badly especially since Polaroid is now defunct. But, I do not put my images on the computer and do special effects - EVER. What you see is what is on the negative. Always. And to the "story" this is a visual. It isn't a story. It is something beautiful to look at. It is a play with shadows and light. When you solarize a polaroid pos/neg the shadows turn lighter and become illuminated. It is ART it is not journalism.

There were others commenting about my copyright notice. I do not put my images on the web without a copyright notice. I have been stolen from in the past, and one person was using my images pretending they were his own to lure models into working with him. When you make fine art nudes your images get used maliciously this way. My photos were also published in Italian Max Magazine without my permission nor even a notification when they took webshots of my website in 1999. So, I will never upload work without my copyright notice.

Another said it was "too contrived."

i wish i knew who these people were. one left a name and i thank you for having the courage to stand behind your comment!!

I loved this in screening Zoe, the effect of the palm frond and the polarizing is really very interesting. :)
