This little girl suddenly crossed our path when we were on our way to the wonderful Swayambunath temple complex in Kathmandu (mixed Buddhist & Hindu). There was a curfew due to the Maoist problems and the streets were empty. But this little girl did not mind politics, outdated idealism and human stupidity in general and was playing with her sister and brother. She was interested and posed, but somehow I could not capture her innocence, cheerful expression and gorgeous eyes as I wanted. The next hours I had that familiar nagging feeling when you did not shoot that picture that you wanted to or could have... Much later, we walked back and I went to look for her. I found her house, and she posed again, though she could barely stand still as she was full of energy, but I think I managed to get a little bit of her youth on 'film', before the 'real world' might take it away.
