I think you over-processed on the white lines on the barn door. That's all I see when I look at the photo.

Angela Bacon-Kidwell Doug, Thank you for the comment. The print has less contrast. That door had just been painted and it really white.

Thomas Ljungberg ;-) Stands for Neutral Density Filter, they are neutral gray filters that can be used to "stop down" your exposure. Some filters are graduated (?), half is gray and half clear and can use to for example not overexpose a light sky when shooting landscapes. So I'm referring to the creative use of the blanket...

Ilja Hackman "ND" = Neutral Density. It´s like sunglasses for your camera.. It let´s you use wide apertures or long exposures when normally there would be too much light for that..
