- A museum of the Cambodian nightmare -
Pol Pot and his Khmer Rouge turned this former high school into a prison for opponents of the communist system. In the classrooms of Toul Sleng, also known under the codename S-21, around 14000 men, women and children were tortured and executed in just under 4 years. The rulers were so sure about the goodness in their actions, that they documented it all in hundreds of photographs. One of them is hanging on the wall. In the bed are different torture instruments.

impressive story behind this image, I've seen this place before in some others pictures but your treatment, lights and specially the low angle adds more interest to this photo... excellent work!!!

I didn't shoot any pictures here. I was too impressed by the place.
Ulrik Hasemann  I did shoot quite a lot of photos here, but you're right it is a very intense place and the impressions vibrate under your skin for a long time after.
Powerful story. I think this shot would be better suited in b/w becuase the acid toning is so pleasing it takes away from the story. IMO
Nicely composed too.
Ulrik Hasemann  Thank you for the comment Angela. It's good to get some critic and sugestions. I will give it a try!

That's almost unbearable to look at. Nevertheless it's a very well composed and well edited picture of a historic memorie.
