Golden Gate
In camera with MAVDU enhancement (vaseline)
We've seen it on a clear day and we've seen it shrouded in fog. Have we ever seen it like this? Do we ever want to see it like this?!

Got to love that MAVDU...
/Thomas
Jerry Berry  Yeah, thanks Thomas. I'm gonna have to get some stock in Mal's company so I might be able to retire some day :-)
Special and with a original output.. I like this a lot, you have really made a original shoot of a common view, and made it special! Well done!

I thought that you had used the MAVDU Jerry? This looks tack sharp to me!.... Hehe, love the shot. mal
Jerry Berry  Well it is tack sharp.
Thanks Mal. You are such an inspiration to me.
I think I'm gonna go find some vaseline with high numbered UV protection so I won't have as much problem blowing the highlights. What number do you use? ;-)
Mal Smart  Factor 50! lol

This was a diffrent and nice way to look at Golden Gate. I'm particulary found of the right part of the photo with the sun coming thru the bridge column. Another great one from you.
Jerry Berry  Thanks Johannes. That bridge has been shot about as much as Yosemite Valley. I was hoping to get it in a unique way. Maybe I succeeded?

I also didn't know what MAVDU meant (a problem of Germans? ;-). Thanks for the explanation to Klaus.

I like the image and what MAVDU did :-))
Jerry Berry  Thanks KPK.

Very interesting technique. I like it. The resulting photo is wonderful. And what a corresponding light.

I understood you used vaseline to get the special filter effect. But did you also move the camera? And what does the abbreviation MAVDU mean?
Jerry Berry  Thanks Klaus. MAVDU stands for Mal's Automatic Vaseline Dispensing Unit. It has been a joke that has gone around here for some time. Sorry if it threw you off track a bit. I am aware that not all here are aware of that term.
Thanks again.

JB
Klaus Ratzer  Har, har. Thanks for your explanation.
