What a cute little fellow :) well captured!
Bill Mangold  Thank you Daria! I agree they look cute but don't let the looks fool you. This is a Cuban Tree frog, an aggressive, invasive species that is destroying other amphibians here in south Florida.

Regards,
Bill

Ps. I'm a huge fan of your photography!

I am usually not a big fan of animal shot but that's an excellent capture! I really like the BW texture, very well processed!
Bill Mangold  Oliver, thank you so much for all of the complementary remarks, they are greatly appreciated.

Highlights are a little intense but I love the texture - good work Bill!
Bill Mangold  Thank you Kevin, I am so glad that you like it! I like to try for the old ?silver gelatin? look for this sort of shot, but I find it hard to do in digital.

Regards,
Bill

Just terrific. I love that you chose to use black and white. It shows off every nuance of his textured skin. Great work.
Bill Mangold  Thank you Judy! Yeah, I really prefer B&W for this shot since the frog has an unusual skin tone (sort of gold and green) and it always looks like the color balance is off.

Congratulations on the selection of "Smoke" as a Screeners Choice!

Bill

Great expression on the frog's 'face' :))
Love it!
Bill Mangold  Hi Tim! Thanks for taking the time to comment and the nice words. It almost looks like he (she) is doing a dance and the expression follows the movement.

Regards,
Bill

haha - loved it in screening already. admirable conversion and phantastic sharpness. love the light in the eye too. really great great great.
Bill Mangold  Doro, thank you for all of the wonderful comments. I agree that these are very photogenic critters but they are an invasive species here in south Florida and are wrecking havoc on other amphibians.

Regards,
Bill
