hy jacob..! volevo capire il significato di questa foto per te
please reply
Mario
Jacob Jovelou  Hi! Unfortunately my Italian is non-existent but if Google translate your comment correctly my answer is that this photo is significant for me. In order to create something rather than just photograph something, you really need to have a story I think. Thanks for dropping a comment and adding it to favorites.
Mario D'Alessandro  ho tradotto..più o meno ho capito il senso delle tue parole..ma nell'insieme è più che comprensibile..grazie!

I'm revisiting this one to add some more comments. I like this piece because it has many stories in it. At first I thought of the hardships when you live far from people you love, wanting to be nearer but unable due to different circumstance. I've experienced that more than once.
But it also tells a story of a feeling you can have in close relationships. Even with people you love and live with, you sometimes wind up in situations where you feel so far away from each other. After arguments or caught up in the treadmill of life, you can feel so much apart, unable to connect. The persons looking in different directions, almost not willing to connect, caught by there own thoughts, pride and inability to reach out... when all it really takes could be a "forgive me"...

I like your choice of size for the people. It certainly enhances the story line.
Jacob Jovelou  Yeah, I have a few different versions but in the end I liked this one best. Their size and the way they don't look at each other is also deliberate to enhance the story and feeling of distance. Thanks for the comment Martin.

If it is a creative edit... its a very nice creation.
If it is real (real scene, pure photograph)... that's extraordinary.
Jacob Jovelou  Everything is real except the people that was added in post processing. This is a 45 second long exposure. Thanks for the comment :)

Jacob Jovelou  Haha, thanks Ursula. Don't worry, as soon as the summer is back I will start posting black and white street shots again... ;) Right now we have -5°, haavy snowfall and no light at all after 16 in the evening.

One of the bests i ever have seen...aloof but close!
Jacob Jovelou  Kaveh, I am very happy that you like this. My capability of turning visions and imaginations into photos are not even close to the caliber of yours, so these words from you mean a lot to me. Cheers
