November Rain

We were enjoying a glas of beer, as all of a sudden that heavy shower stopt all comfortable relaxing at this nice garden-cafe. Everyone escaped to a dry spot near the counter. Fortunately the dishes had been left in the rain, to be filled up again and to give me a nice capture of that moment.

Great capture, full of atmosphere. I like the color fading into bw as the rain becomes heavier and more evident against the background.

Amazing capture, it's really hard to capture rain in a photo, often looks much less then it was....so i can imagin how heavy the rain was. Great stuff!

Harald Bildner yes, there was only a little bit of greenish stuff in the backround wich was very ugly. So I decided to turn all colors down except that brown, because this brown does lead my eyes to the glasses on the table. I tried a "normal" b&w also, but somehow this version worked much better. Usually I can't stand colorkey at all. Dankeschön

Yes, you got it. Really a good idea to upload this photo. Indeed we had a very heavy storm and rain but fortunately there was also the positive aspect of capturing good shots. Dragan, it wasn't your fault ;-)

Harald Bildner Thank you Klaus, I'm not sure if I would have found this szene without you. I was busy on other tables, but they didn't come out as good as this one.

there is something about the foreground/background contrast that works so well here. those traces of the raindrops are great
