Mel Brackstone  Hello John, I woke at around 3am, drove to the beach, wandered around waiting for the sun, with Canon 5D, tripod, 16-35mm lens, Singh Ray reverse grad filter, and cable release. Auto exposure bracketing as I went, and then processed in photomatix. A low opacity coloured gradient overlay of blue and orange to finish. Hope this helps!
