I love those pearls, in the old photo and on the shelf..

Anna Lepke Thanks, Ilja. This is my first still life for a very long time. Got the idea while I was eating dinner, looking at those beautiful flowers I got. I thought I had to catch what I see. While I was composing the picture I saw the pearls in the picture and I knew what to do.

If I'm not mistaken, this is a type of self-portrait, and a quite lovely one, at that.

Anna Lepke Sorry, but it's not. I would have proudly could "self portrait with flowers" or something like that. But you are right: it is a picture of me. It was taken of a close friend of mine about 20 years. :)

King Douglas What I mean to say is that the little framed portrait is a photo of you. You took this photo, which includes a photo of you, so in a way it is a self-portrait. Lovely in any case.
