Die Aufnahme gefällt mir sehr gut. Wunderschönes Licht dort in der Wasserwelle. Sehr gut gesehen. Am Columbia River war ich vor ein paar Jahren als ich British Columbia besucht habe. Das Bild weckt daher große Sehnsucht in mir. Am Clearwater River hat es mir auch sehr gut gefallen. Leider ist mein englisch völlig unbrauchbar. Lieben Gruß vom Franz

Extremely beautiful and interesting shot. I don't think I've ever seen another photo that captures the colors in water like this one does - where did that gold come from? This goes into my 1x favorites album as the first photo there.

Ursula I Abresch It is reflections of the sun going down. I was quite surprised myself when I saw that they'd been captured that way. I was actually trying to avoid the sun sparkles on the water, and this happened sort of by chance :)

This is a great picture but I think it would be better without the colour that everyone seems to love. This might make a powerful B&W image but I might be wrong and everyone else that love the gold might be right!

Ursula I Abresch Thank you, Mark, I appreciate the feedback. I am working on images similar to this, but in B&W. It seems to me though that the B&W approach to this kind of situation is a much more common way to go about it, and a B&W version of this would look like many other B&W closeups of water/waves. It is the colour, especially the reflected golds of the sun going down, that "makes" the image (in my mind). But you're right, B&W closeups of moving (or stopped in motion) water can be extremely powerful.

Quite nice, yes. The dynamic lines are what does it for me, as well as the cropping. But one thing that irritates me, are the small dots of cyan in the wave lines. I think I would have preferred it, if the cyan colours were smooth rather than dots. Especially the part in the right top part behind the wave.

this is the first time i see sparks coming out of the water. you would expect at least that Venus comes out of these waves. wonderful

i think looking at this we can all see why at least in english they use the term whiter horses to characterise the white crests of waves your image emulates that perfectly.
