i've delayed responding on this T because I was not sure of the words to use. The composition and relationship of parent and child is so strong and evident in the image but that partial detatchment of glance from the child to you as the photog seals a connection to the viewer as being a special moment. Top work T, I like this. mal

Tracy, the contact you created with the child is so strong. It's enhanced by the mother looking away in another direction. Great composition and crop!
Some thoughts on processing. Do you think that the impact could be improved by lightening the child's face just a little and increasing the contrast there as well? The light scarf takes much attention as is now (but creates that great diagonal adding to the dynamic flow in the image. The lower right corner could be darkened/vignetted as well to balance the dark hair in the top of the image.
The image is beautiful as is, just sharing some thoughts... ;-)

Tracy Martin Thanks Daria, even as her grandmother was walking away from me the little girl continued to try and turn to look at me but with the streets so packed I couldn't get another shot.

terrific tracy. i love these stolen shots. i am a thief too but only of spirits! this is delightful & a very real example of true street shooting.

Tracy Martin Thank you Gerard, it was both easy and difficult shooting as there were so many people on the street that day. Also I have begun to question what it is that I want to say with my images, adding the difficulty of the day. However this little girl just captivated me and I went on instinct rather than thought. :)
