Martin, some lines, nice tones, superb toning, all to make another great one. But I ask myself if the left part of the sky, that is very clear, is not a bit distracting from the so nice tones that we find beneaf... Nevertheless a superb work !
Fernand
Martin Gremm  Fernand, thank you for the comment and especially for sharing your thoughts! I thought there was some appeal to having the sky invert the progression of tones on the building, but toning that down a little probably wouldn't hurt. Thanks for the feedback!

This is a very well seen composition and an excellent use of light. I read that you've carefully chosen the timing; this is something every photographer should aim to do, but we often forget (or we just don't have the time due to work commitments!) Very inspiring, thanks for sharing.
Andrea
Martin Gremm  Thank you, Andrea! I had to try this about a dozen times before I got what I wanted. Luckily this is almost walking distance from where I live. Thank you for the thoughtful comment!

george gradinaru  "+++" means AOT evaluation (Artistic Originality Tehnic)
Martin Gremm  Thank you for explaining that! I just figured ++ is better than + and so on. I am glad you like this along these three dimensions!

the graduation of tone is very very attractive Martin and it has your usual attention to detail compositional elements all in place! Can not fault it! beautiful shot. mal
Mal Smart  Forgot to ask, what is the structure? mal
Martin Gremm  I am glad you like this, Mal. I have been trying to take this shot literally for years. It requires clear skies, a wide angle lens that I didn't have until recently, and it is lit like this only for a very short period of time each day before shadows criss cross the facade.

The building is a Philip Johnson designed chapel on the campus of a small private university in Houston. I just framed to to hide all the religious symbols:)

like it lots. great tones and clean lines (oh, and is this the split of your life before and after becoming photo screener? ;)).
Martin Gremm  Thank you very much, Doro! I hope you are wrong about that split, but I did take this picture the afternoon before becoming a screener and I haven't touched a camera since...
