robert gingher  Mal, I'm curious about the Canon camera you're using, the Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III, and whether or not you've also compared it with the Mark II. Am asking as an inveterate Nikon user who may be about to switch cameras...have been reluctant because "trapped in [Nikon]glass." I just got a 50D for my son and think it's an amazing instrument. I have no complaint with Nikon other than the price (the D3x, for instance).
Mal Smart  I can't really cast any light on the mk11 against the mk111, I went straight from a 5D to the mk111. What I can say is that it is bomb proof and produces some very lovely results, it is just the idiot (me) that holds it that needs improving. I guess that you have some nice Nikon glass, so think long and hard before you switch. Very happy to discuss further, just drop me an e-mail. mal

But you have it all wrong, as I was driving back from planet Saturn, I pulled in at a petrol station to fill up with fuel, the petrol station clearly had a sign that said 'Mount Ararat fuel stop', The green man that served me also confirmed that he was from Ararat and he told me the best route home to avoid the icy rocks in the Saturn rings!......

If I had known that your family were still on Saturn, I could have called in for tea!

We try to hold on to things, things that we belive we cant be without. It doesent matter how strong we try to tie them to us, things will be gone.. Someone tied this once grand boat with a rope. The roap is still there, but the boat is forever gone from the seaports. However, i think it is moore beautiful now than it has ever been.. I hope i will age this beautiful, but i kind of doubt it.. :O)

A fantastic photo with that tone that makes the water shine like glass, or a mirror.. A mirror were the old boat can remember it selfe in..

The shot was a long exposure using a Hoya R72 infra red filter, the red image was then desaturated with a gradient map layer and then toned using RGB curves on the high and mid tones only. I read the thread regarding the silver fox thing but I have not tried it yet. all the best. mal
Richard Ford  It is by NiK Software. It along with a lot of their software makes all that photoshop effort redundant and also speeds up the process. I highly recommend a test of it.

Hey Mal. Glad this one made it. I kept seeing it in screening and kept trying to make it better with a crop. But I couldn't. So I sat on it and didn't vote. What can i say.
