Hi there, can you explain how you get the water like that? is there a filter, or is it time of day? or is it exposure time, please explain.

Mal Smart its taken through a Hoya r72 filter, its actually an infra red filter but I use it for its neutral density qualities to extend the exposure time. Thankyou. mal

brrr, I feel fear... I saw this in bad dreams, what lies underwater, near the building ? Well caught man.

Mal Smart I told some others in reply that this place has a lot of childhood memories for me. I think that I was about 9 or 10 at the time, I went to this place with 2 friends, it was less than 2 miles from my home. In our imaginations, we believed that a witch lived in this tower and my friends dared me to swim out and climb the tower, I did but dare not look through the window at the top. My father was not pleased when he found out! lol. Thank you Gilles. mal

I don't see how you could make a better picture of this scene. I saw it first on a really old small laptop screen and even there it looked amazing. Seeing the details on a decent screen I am even more impressed. Magical

I love the story you told Elisabeth. It made me remember similar things from my own childhood. This picture can take your imagination in any direction and I like it a lot. First time for me here, you have a lot of really great stuff and I will be back.

Mal Smart Hi Marcus and thank you. I have to admit that this place holds so many memories for me as a child but as an adult I have tried to capture images of it but I have never been happy with my results, this is the first. Every time I visit this place I am transported to my childhood and another world in my head.

A photo that really plays with your emagination. I see a sunken ship with its tower above the surface, i see a tower of fun, a divers paradise, and i see something from the past that wasn't all good.. In all that i see beautiful surrondings with that soft but yet strong grayscale. Exellent work!

HOLY FRIGGIN CRAP.
