Not easy to make a great great shot of a pet. This is just an amazing photograph. <3 dogs, <3 this photo. :)

Judy W It's one of my all time favorites. She was the sweetest dog. We would go visit her and her two pups although we had to stay on the other side of the fence. One day we went and the herd of goats and all of the dogs were gone. I always wonder where she went but I'm so glad I had that moment. I so appreciate your kind words.

Judy W I'm so glad you get the same emotion I have every time I look at it. There's a long story behind it but basically, she is no longer guarding the flock, so I have this image as a treasured memory. :~)

i liked this in screening the placement of the dog is perfect & the tones suit the piece the sky is a tad over cooked but hey thats what helps give that individual painterly appeal.

Judy W Funny how the sky looks a tad less so in Photoshop CS3 but I liked it enough here to leave it alone. So glad you liked it. That was a wonderful dog who guarded herd of goats. We visited her often and then once they were all gone - probably moved somewhere else, or sold. I'm glad I have this image of her.

Judy, I went on a drive yesterday and saw a dog just like this one. The only thing was the dog i saw was chasing my car down a dirt road in a very aggressive manner. I wish I had expeirenced the peacful dog you protray. Lovely tones too.

Judy W She really was the gentlest soul. Took it a year ago - she was herding a flock of goats. We would go feed her because it was obvious all of the food that was given got gobbled up by her two pups. We went back one day and they were gone - herd too. I'm so glad I have such an array of her photos. I am so inspired by your beautiful digital art that I thought of you (seriously) when I did this version.
