Another person might be satisfied with the powerful landscape. I'm reminded of the line from the Robert Frost poem, "A lone Stiker:"

/
The spinner still was there to spin
That’s where the human still came in.
/

When looking at your photos, even when there is no human form to be seen, the human still comes in. It's in your style.

Beautiful.
Angela Bacon-Kidwell  King, Thank you!
My style? Thank you! I am trying.
You made my day!

It seems so simple, yet so original - like all the best photography, I guess! Beautiful.
Angela Bacon-Kidwell  I will admit that I struggled at great lenghts on this photo. I really wanted to add something!!!!!!!!!! I restrained. It was hard.
So, Thanks for mentioning the simplicity- :)

i also loved this in screening it has about it something that i think we all feel that feeling of being caged apart from the earth when we are inside. it also made me smile as i am a born again curtain twitcher & this just made me smile because i am forever looking out from behind a curtain or blind. here though you have it just right why? well the road leading away from the house is just perfect so symbolic so nostalgic so real! and the bnw toned treatment adds texture & heightens the emotional feel.
Angela Bacon-Kidwell  Gerard, Thank you. What is a curtain twitcher?
The curtains do make this landscape more interesting and that was the intention.
Thank you very much. That road does lead to a little house and the man that lives there has watched my son and I over the last two years create photographes on and in front of his pasture. I really wished he had been driving down the road that day but no luck- maybe next time.
Thank you!
gerard sexton  angela ha ha a curtain twitcher is someone who stands behind their curtains carefully shifting them so that they can see out but others can't notice them looking out. they almost always fail. i was half joing about me of course although my nearest & dearest says she is in fact happy that i spend so much time looking out the window as she feels much safer for it. i do without resorting to subterfuge which is my reference to missing the earth while being cooped up indoors. hope you are happy with my response.

best regards

gerard
Angela Bacon-Kidwell  Oh I see! :) Thanks for the explanation.

I'm always impressed by your ideas! Not only great skills but every time originality at its best..Here you have been able like no others to go into a theme: what I like the most is the representation of the wind mutated into a silent whisper after the storm..good job!!
Andrea
Angela Bacon-Kidwell  Andrea, Very happy you like this idea. I'm trying not to just capture a moment but to present a visual idea. If that makes sense. Much appreciated.

Wow ... stunning landscape with awesome clouds ... the curtains are a very nice detail and add some kind of dynamic to the picture ... and as always you've added a lovely toning - transforms a very gloomy atmosphere ... I love it!
