I like this one, but a sunset could never look like that in human eyes because the glitter path of the sun on the water is askew. Some perspective correction (to make the glitter path vertical) would make it look more natural.

I think this is a solid photo. I disagree with the negative comments. First, I don't see any scum or foam, I see snow and ice. I like the sun, I think it works as a balance to the paper mill, and is in keeping with the mixed industrial/nature theme of the photo. The mill, sun, and ice all have a harsh element.

With other peoples photos I tend to think that the elements in the photo are intentional, and coupled with the name 'The paper mill' I'm don't need to 'wonder' that the 'industrial horizon' is part of the 'message' (assuming there is a message, rather then just a nice image for image sake) I don't think anything is at odds here. Maybe the mill isn't as pleasant as some of his other pictures..wait, wait...maybe you can find 'message' in that.

I really like Ole's style, and though it may not his most appealing, I would still rather call it mine then any photo in Tuggies set.

My question is whether a gradual ND filter is used or HDR? I don't think this is a range that a camera can handle.

It is a stunning image, in my opinion the sun disturbs a bit but also completes this gorgeous compo.

This is a striking image, but compared with the photographers other images in a similar vein, I don't think it quite stands up. I wonder if the industrial horizon and the scum/foam is meant to be part of a message, but can't be sure and in any case it would be at odds to the serenity of the scene if there was some eco-context. So I guess not. The thing that spoils it for me is the sun and the reflection, it just seems out of place and is overwhelms the rest of the quiet scene
