is a good picture, but it seems unreal. the line between sky and sea is too straight. note is the artificial process
Mal Smart  thank you for your time. I did straighten the horizon as it was shot at 30mm and had a slight curve. the only other work was an increase in contrast and a slight tone added, I guess the artificial look that you are referring to comes from the 109 second exposure. mal
José Luis Mieza  Thanks for the explanation and my congratulations to the model for his stillness in this long exposure
Mal Smart  hehe, that was me and it took me 3 attempts to get one where I had not moved, lol. thank you José. all the best. mal
José Luis Mieza  Lol, lol, Congratulations for your sportsmanship. Sorry if I bothered you with my criticism.

greetings

Mal Smart  the figure is me Chris. Camera on the tripod and with a time delay shutter actuation, it took me 3 goes to get a sharp one. cheers. mal

Don't we all! I love this one too! How long was that exposure? Love the contrast of the various textured surfaces and the smooth, silky water.
Mal Smart  cheers Angela, it was 109 secs, I had to repeat the exercise 3 times, the first 2 I didn't stay still enough, lol. mal

Very nice Mal! I'm awfully worried about those old looking pipes :) Hope their not carrying anything to nasty.

109 seconds is a long time to sit absolutely still Mal. I agree with Mark that the textures here are just amazing. Beautiful.
Mal Smart  had to do it 3 times as well Tracy, I could not keep still in the first 2. I have some idea's for other images with fixed sharp focal points and blurry textures but have not had the ability to pull it off yet. Thank you Tracy. mal
