Wow, children thoughts flying all around! One really need a net sometimes to catch those dreams from childhood. They pass so swiftly and quick! The smallest wind catches them and if you try to intense, they will pop by your touch.

I was enthusiastically in screening as i see it the first time.

angela, c'est superbe, mais comme je suis une adepte du minimalisme, en ce sens que cette photo pour moi est tellement forte, qu'elle n'a besoin, ni du filet, ni des bulles..et à mon avis elle prend encore plus de sens, ou plus de force.. En tout cas.. bravo

It was hot a muggy yesterday, but I had to work outside. This photo illustrates what I would rather have been doing. What a great idea. Your son must think the world of you to be so cooperative. I suppose it was you who got to blow the bubbles. A good story, well told.

Angela Bacon-Kidwell King, Thanks so much. We actually play in this boat and when I pull out the tripod he knows what is about to happen. But, he was to interested looking at the bubbles to do what I really wanted him to do- so this was the result. btw-Bubble machine no physical blowing required. lol.

This shot was taken in my garage. My husband has this old sailboat and it has been there since my son was born. So we play in it. So I decided to put the boat and us where we really wanted to be somewhere magical. The background is a huge mural I painted and a cheap bubble machine did the rest. But, I still need to visit a beautiful place. Thanks!

Laurence Garçon Hello Angela ;-) If it is like a "studio" photograph (your garage), what suprise me the most is the effect of the "water reflection" on the side of the boat. I don't know how you obtain it, but it is just another magical detail of this scene.

I bought saturday two of those cheap "bubble machines"... I felt the sudden desire of return in childhood ;-) I love to see them "in action" in your art ;-)

Angela Bacon-Kidwell Sorry, I forgot to mention how that was done. I project a water image that I used in another shot onto the boat. Without that I think it would be to flat. Thanks.
Bubble machines are cool but really messy in the garage! I fell several times trying to jump in the boat before the timer BEEPED!
