Now THAT is a photograph! This is not an easy place to shoot and these sharks are very easily spooked. Well done.

Lars Grepstad Thanks a lot for the nice comment! I did work hard for it. Many dives, but at the end I got this one. At 17mm on film, so pretty close.

Lars Grepstad Thanks a lot for the comment Norbert! I dreamed quite a long time too before I got close enough for this shot. I think I got it in my 78th dive at Monad Shoal. I have hundreds of shots of them, but this is one of my favorites.
But the Threshers are still there if you take a trip to Malapascua.

This is great! I dive myself but have never seen a shark. I just simply adore this picture. I could say it in a long story but I choose one sentense:" Taking a picture like this need equipment but much carridge"! Mat Arlander

The image leaves an stron impact on me, must be fantastic to see the shark live this near.

Lars Grepstad Thanks for the nice comment. Been diving many years, and never really got a kick out of it, like people are talking about. But this dive gave one! And it still came closer. It's taken at 17mm, and full frame.
