there are a number of factors that make this firstly your ability to have your child respond in this way the second the imagination & three the post processing to make into another gem!

Angela Bacon-Kidwell well, I'll have to say he does his own thing-marches to his own drum. I try and be one step ahead of him. This was the the intention that day of shooting. Thanks.

A toy can be the greatest love for a child.. A comfort, a friend, a suport.. I think this photo shows that, i mean, they are together in a heart of water.. Lovely, with that tone of photocopy, that really makes a statement. I got to love this..

So you did this yesterday? I see you got lucky with the clouds.(I read later that this was shot a year ago.) This is fabulous...one of your best.

Love the ripples...did you wait for that moment? Did you place the little horse exactly where you wanted it or was this serendipity? I wish the back of the horses head were completely surrounded by the highlight in the water.

Very minor point and just shop talk.

I can't believe you noticed that the water did not extend past the head. I should fix that. oh well! lol! We had been out to this road several times last summer (I was trying to get something else) and I always brought along toys for him to play with so it was a little lucky. I did wait :)

Wonderful contemplative mood in this one Angela! A norwegian poet once said " In order to create it is important to have that deep, emotional connection to your childhood" And i really feel that you do Angela, you show us the world through a childs eye, like in this piece. The perfect composition in this one is from a childs view, not an adult! Beautiful light as well, great work!

I said before that I'm interested in capturing childhood in a non traditional way- without much face to expose the true feeling or nature of childhood. He also did not speak at the time of exposure so it has dual meaning. Horse-silent and child-silent.

Angela Bacon-Kidwell Thank you! I'm really interested in capturing childhood in a little surreal non forced way. The light comes from my car lights- It was a spontaneous moment and I'll treasure it forever.

You sure know how to illustrate childhood as it feels to me! :)
I´m a bit controversial on the "blurry glow" filter but more I look at it more I like it.
