Great pic. Did you use a tripod to get this? Butterfly shots are not easy.
adrifil  Hi Marcus, thank you for your comment on this photo. I'm glad you liked it.
Answering to your question: no, I didn´t use a tripod, just a Nikkor 55-200 VR and a steady hand. :)

adrifil  Thank you, Thomas. I'm very glad to be here. I like B&W photos (like yours) although I shoot mostly in colour and you liked this photo despite your photos being all in B&W. And this diversity is good. :)
Thomas Ljungberg  I do shoot color as well but my colorshots does not seem to be published here... ;-) Thank you for your kind words.

Perfect focus!!!! Lovely.
adrifil  Thank you for appreciating my photo. The butterfly was born two hours before and it's first flight was to the top of this strelitzia.

adrifil  Thank you very much for your encouraging words, Patrick. :)
Nice compostion and wonderful detail and contrasting colors.
adrifil  Thank you, Angela. The butterfly flew to a strelitzia and the green background added to this splash of color. :)
