It is just incredible when you think that natures erosion has shaped this fascinating gorge over millions of years into deeply red sandstone. Very well captured, Gale.

Have you ever done any landscape using large format?, i.e., view camera?
This is lovely. I thought my eyes were suddenly 20 years younger when the brilliance of this photo hit the screen.

Gale Rainwater No King I haven't. I love the detail of large format and the huge prints you can make. I'm pretty much into digital now. I do alot of stitching for my landscape images. Hey I'm in the dallas area this weekend by the way my daughter is in a dance festival. Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed this one.

Kept sitting here staring at this image, trying to figure out what this is. Enjoying the color and the temperature, the lines ... it's soft and edgy at the same time. Fascinating.
Than i read it's a landscape. A landscape??? Where on earth do you find this kind?

Gale Rainwater Hi Anna this is from antelope canyon, a slot canyon. It's made of sandstone and the water has eroided the canyon and made the beautiful swirls in the rock. I shoot mostly landscape so I consider it a landscape image, it would fit in nature or abstract also I guess. Thanks for the fine words, I'm glad you like it.
