As an Architect I really love all your architectural shots. I love the simplicity of your compositions. The symmetry in this one works really well. I must get out and hunt down some shots like this. They must be out there I just need to spend the time finding them.

Such praise from an architect is most rewarding.

Regarding the symmetry in this shot, not wishing to lessen my talent as a photographer, but this is a creative edit, a mirror image, done in Photoshop, hence the perfect symmetry.

The key to capturing good architectural images I have found is to visit and shoot a building several times at different times of the day as the changing light reveals various aspects of the architecture.

Luckily I have a lot of good buildings within an easy bicycle ride of home and work, but, am running out of new ways of shooting them, need to move city soon.

It looked like a face to me in the thumbnail. I sat on the fence in terms of voting because I was viewing on a laptop. I'm glad I didn't vote against it because it looks so much better on a large screen
