Wonderful in every way .... shame your not in the UK you could take my photo anytime :)
Sandy Powers  I'd like that, Sam :) You have a wonderful, artistic face! I'd so much rather be in the UK than in sun-scorched, every-hour-of-the-day-is-horrid-midday-light-Texas. THANK YOU for the compliment on my Lady Lisa photo :)

this photo conveys a very strong feeling of happiness...!:)
Sandy Powers  Thank you so much Havah. He does seem content doesn't he. I think he is homeless. He was sitting on a curb looking lost, but when I approached him to ask if I could take his picture, he was so polite and gracious. It shows that contentment in life may not necessarily be based on "possessions", right? Thank you for your comment :)
Expressive and strong

very much liked this one in screening. A very straightforward portrait, but that fabulous detail, the toned down colors and that nod of the head make it stand out

The desaturated colour looks GREAT here. He has some amazing ( and kind) looking eyes. He really connects with the viewer here...
Sandy Powers  Emily, thank you so much! Coming from one of the best portrait photographers on the planet, your compliment means ALOT!!! He was in fact very sweet. He was sitting on a curb on a busy urban street and when I approached him to ask him for his picture, he immediately got up and kind of bowed like that -- seemingly in respect -- so that was when I grabbed my moment :)

Very nice portrait Sandy. Close, intense. Sharpness is excellent and I like the square crop and desaturated colors.

I passed him on the street, and as soon as I saw that face, wanted a picture. So I just asked him, and sure enough, he was so approachable, polite, and gentlemanly. I wanted to stay and talk to him for a while.
