It's a wonderful picture Anne, I really should want to life in such a house, such atmosphere, but ... do I have a lost soul? (contradiction). Is this, for instance, a house for homeless people, is it a mental hospital? And then, I wonder, can we call them 'people with a lost soul'? Maybe it's to long ago to see this comment, to answer, 'why this title'?

I love that you ask questions about it, and i will try to answer you.

This house has been used for many purposes, a lot of them including humans.
When i took this picture this notion of lost souls came to me, like a haunting. This big house has been empty and closed off, for the last couple of years.
I do not know why, but it seemed a bit eerie and had this forgotten feel about it. That led me to think about the humans that have passed through this big house, and i was wondering if some of them felt lost and forgotten. Of course this is my artistic impression and should merely be seen as my way of interpreting the house.

For when is a soul lost. And how do you capture the feel of lost souls?

Lovely, haunting (as someone else mentioned). Please tell me what we are seeing at the very top and bottom of this wonderful photograph. Are the bristles part of the original scene (doesn't matter--I just want to know) and are they lit partially with flash. What is at the botom? It looks like dew drops on glass. Are those flowers?--those highlights?

Now, as I look closer, the entire lower two-thirds of the image appears to be shimmer through glass.

I am afraid i have to disappoint you when it comes to this image because this is a single shot of a reflection in a lake, but i thought it looked so beautiful yet haunted. So the vegetation you see is actually waterweed.
I have not used any external lightning, only natural light. Thank you so much for your interest and your questions!
