A study in duality! The water in motion vis-a-vis the still wreckage, the sunlight and the darkening clouds. The blur of wave motion is captivating!

Stunning indeed, did you use an ND filter for the water motion? I love the movement, shadow and variety of subjective points occupying the same space giving an impression of business without feeling too overcrowded.
Mel Brackstone  Thanks David, I can't live without my Lee ND grad filters. Sunrise just will not work without them. From memory I used both 0.9 and 0.6 once that sun broke through

Mel - Great stuff love the ribs of the ship they stick out like teeth, and the light and shadows are fantastic. The exposure is spot on, as is the shutter speed for just the right about of movement in the water! Genius.
Mel Brackstone  Thanks so very much, Craig, I really do love my Lee filters for this sort of work....there's no way I'd get these results without them.

outstanding, I bet your eyes lit up the first time your saw this on the back of the camera.
Mel Brackstone  Thanks so much, Rikki, I saw the light and shadows and knew it was going to be wonderful! So pleased I managed to keep the tripod from sinking too far with this one!

Congratulations Mel, this is a great shot! Perfect amount of motion blur and very nice lighting. Like the way the diagonal of the boat to the left balances the sun to the right. And the blue/green tone in the water is marvellous!
/Thomas
Mel Brackstone  Thanks so much Thomas, we were very lucky with the water colour yesterday, considering all the rain. Lucky also that the clouds behaved themselves! I appreciate all your help.
