a question: in your modded camera, autofocus works or not? i'm planning to do the same with my canon

AF works fine in my modded camera. I believe some places calibrate the AF when they mod the cameras and some places (depending on the camera) can even adjust the metering so that it meters properly in IR. It will likely depend on who you get to mod your camera.
