Really cool IR pic, Mal! I love the centered composition and the simplicity. Just the tree, field and those monsterous clouds. This is something I´ve been looking to catch myself too. Haven´t succeeded tho.. Marvellous shot!

for me, there is an echo between clouds and tree.. and tones are perfect, for this surnaturel event..

Seriously speaking:
Imho The cloud that fill every space makes the difference and gives real power of this photo.

I would add in this picture I can see the nature-circle that has to mean much to us. This photo has the Cloud that is so huge, so big ..and has the water; this photo has the Land that is wet by water ; the Land ..so basic, so fundamental. the place from where so many things grow up , a real symbol of fertility; and this photo has the Tree ..one Tree, a strong one , proud ...i mean we have the Fruit ..

That's why i wouldn't have problem to titled this photo "Life"

The greenish tones are brilliant. People don't use them enough and they add such an artistic feel! SUPERB image....you really have the "eye" !

Mal a superb compo near symetry, with a cloud whose shape is also very well adapted for symetry. Like also the white foregroung.

...should I say 'outstanding' again...no, it will be boring...lol...it is a very beautiful picture, Mal...and thinking about the fact that was made 15 years ago, makes me feeling myself a pure amateur...anyway I love this picture, for this is no need to be very experienced :-)...it looks great with that beautiful grass...and the cloud it's wonderful...

The image was taken 15 years ago with a pentax camera. At that time I had a friend who was a dark room guru who taught me some weird tinting techniques. the forground is actually pure green new grass but he showed me how to alter these tones. I just wished that I could remember how it was done! lol. mal
