Fantastic. I am always a fan of patterns and repetitive geometry.

Also cool, was the fact that I was able to immediately recognize the subject here. I grew up in Texas and I always thought this building was cool when I visited the River Walk. We usually stayed at the Hyatt down the way though.

This whole building was constructed from prefabricated concrete-box room units that were then hoisted up into position and stuck together. Sort of like Lego blocks. The architectural result is pretty unique, and makes for a great pattern study.

Sandy Powers Jarret, that is so amazing! I didn't know that. Thank you so much for explaining the unusual tricks the side of this hotel plays on your eyes.
